Letters to Marnie

Hello Marnie,
My daughter bought one of your CD's, Peace and Puddles. She gave it to her nephew, my grandson and he brought it to the daycare where I work and manage the non profit Osoyoos Child Care Centre in Osoyoos, B.C. I can't tell how much your CD has brought sunshine into our day!! We all love the songs and we especially loved Senor Pedro! After listening to it a few time the children all wanted to make maracas. It was great! While listening to Senor Pedro we madly made our maracas for our circle time. All the children will be busy at centres on their own and I put your music on and they all come flying to circle.
I wanted to share this with you and let you know how much we love your music.

Paddy

Oh yes, we made it to the show....you have super rock star status!! All the kids were so excited while waiting for the show to start, and were entranced for the duration of the show. It was really good, I especially love the new welcoming song. We bought our new CDs too, they make great gifts for people who don't live in Vancouver The CD really looks professional - the artwork and photos are perfect - and thank you for including all the words.

Tracey and Jeff Norman

Dear Marnie,

I am writing you this letter to thank you for all the great influence you have had on my daughter’s development. The classes that we have enjoyed with you made her more interested in her environment and has provided us with a activity we can do together, our special time I have enjoyed the class thoroughly it is just too bad that we can't just watch you while doing it at home! I am looking forward to more music class in the future!

Thank you,
Melanie Dufour

Dear Marnie,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the great "Music With Marnie" class just completed and for all the really Special times Kaitlin, Rose Marie and I (grandpa) have had with you there. Kaitlin was enthralled and looked forward to every class. I was impressed with your easy, relaxed way of running the class and quite taken with the way each child seemed to be really turned on by one or two of your songs and/or routines. Excluding, of course, the stamps... they all liked them!

Ed Watson

Hey Marnie,

I've been meaning to write to you – to tell you how much discovering Music with Marnie meant to Kira and I. It was the highlight of our week for the 6 months we attended. And now that I’m back to work, I consider it one of the most memorable times of my mat leave – allowing me special time to bond with Kira and learning new songs and games to play with -things you don’t learn in textbooks!! Your CD is still the only one that keeps Kira from wailing in the car – needless to say we hope you get out another one soon for our sanity!!! Do keep us posted on that front.
If we do decide to have another baby – I’ll be back!! Wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Jodi Wilson

Hey Marnie,

Just wanted to let you know how much my kids love your CD. Ethan keeps asking to hear "More Music, More Marnie!" And both the kids love the rain song. And Ethan keeps singing the monkey song too. And he's wiggling around like a worm all the time. I'm sure you hear lots of these comments, but I just wanted to add mine in too. It's a great CD, and I know my husband and I will soon have heard it a million times, if the kids have their way.

C. Shore

Dear Marnie,

You are an amazing woman with an amazing gift and all children who attend your classes are blessed to have had their lives touched by yours. We're having a whole new Music with Marnie marathon now!!! All the kids are enjoying stomping, singing, dancing and jumping around. I have a hard time fighting back the tears of pride and honour I have for you, every time they play the CD, over and over and over again. Teehee. You are an amazing woman. I believe in you and what you do. I can't wait for the video!!

Arlene Deptuck

Dear Marnie,

Last night my children put on your CD and pretended to be the Music with Marnie Band. Kyle used his toy headset miche and pretended to be you and Emily pretended to play the drums like Eduardo.

D. Sankey

Dear Marnie,

You may be pleased (or freaked out! heehee) to know that you vacationed at the beach with us....only you were smaller...Your name is Mini Marnie and Emma took very good care of you...She pushed you around in her stroller and was very concerned if we made too much noise when you were sleeping! We are loving your new CD...Emma sings many of the tunes at the top of her lungs and Tess loves the jump song.

Leslie Blake

Hi Marnie,

Just wanted to let you know that we are thoroughly enjoying your CD. Now that was a great investment! Natalie has caught on to the songs that she didn't
know before. We love the variety of songs and the interactive ones- Tony Chestnut gives Natalie a very good challenge, indeed! We especially like the Hello song, You Gotta sing and Sleeping Bunnies. The whole CD was very well done and well thought out. The first time I played it, Natalie immediately recognized your voice but was very puzzled about where to find you in the house! It was a hoot!

Donna Hope

THANK YOU for all your love and joy that you so generously give all our children - I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy your classes and the enormous pleasure Nathan gets out of them - whenever I sing a "Marnie" song his face lights up and he's the happiest baby in town (great for long car rides)

Linda Dom

I just have to write, as you truly were a key ingredient in my daughter Makenzey's last few years. Your music class that Makenzey was in when she was 2 and a half has done so much to help her learn that it will be ok to go to a class, or pre school or swimming by herself. Over the past 3 years when she has been apprehensive or shy about trying a new activity we talk about you and her very first music class. She really remembers you and your amazing heart. I am sure you are well aware that children sense when a person is real and loves what they do and when they love other children. So I really thank you from the bottom of my heart and my husband Bobby's too!! It takes a special person to hold that sense of security in the mind of a little girl who started out so shy but knows that she did it once and she can keep on doing it again and again!! I think you are wonderful and real and our family wishes you all the best for you future!

Kristene, Bobby, Makenzey, Greydon and Skyler!!

Your show was great! I really like all your new songs. Maya was thrilled to see you again and said at bed time that seeing you perform was the best part of her day. Kids are the best!

Brenda

Hi Marnie,

After we talked I realized I hadn't told you why Jamie wasn't in your class at all this session - we lined up at Dunbar at 4:15 a.m. and were number 8 to register that night but there was already a waiting list by the time it was our turn so I didn't bother to waitlist him. You're way too popular!

Regards,
Juli Bennett

Hello Marnie,

What an awesome CD! Ethan, Josh and I listened to it together tonight and loved it – another excellent piece of work by a talented person (that’s you, by the way!). Andrea

Rose kindly bought us the new CD and we absolutely love it. It is such fun and contains our favourite song, the worm song. What a load of work you must have done preparing it, it is fantastic and Fergus and Skye just beam and love it.

Louise Clarke

Marnie,

I just want to let you know that your new CD has accompanied us during our recent road trip to Banff, Edmonton and Calgary Stampede. Keane likes the Road song, while my favourite is the My Bicycle and my husband's fav is the Worm. It was a 6 days driving tour and we listened to this CD an umpteen times!! Keane has picked up a number of words from the songs. :) We really enjoy the CD!

Susan Chew

Hello Marnie,

Just a quick note to let you know how much Genevieve enjoys your new CD. We play it in the car all the time. Let me add my congratulations on such a good CD as well. Your music has really developed nicely since the first one and you should be really proud of your accomplishment.

Marci Fear

Hi Marnie,

Just wanted to let you know how much we are enjoying your new CD! And believe me, we are listening to it a lot! Everyday Asia wakes up and says "Marnie!" and we put on your CD and dance away! Thought you might be interested in our favorites. Greg's favorite is Funga I Lufia. I think both Asia and my favorite is the puddle song. We also really like They're Monkeys and Hurray! Greg also thinks the musicianship is great. I went on a road trip this summer with my cousin and her two year old, whenever they started screaming, we would put in Marnie and they both quieted right down! As you can imagine, we didn't listen to much else!

D. Silzer

Hey Marnie,

I would like to wish you a happy Mother's Day as you are one of the best caregivers I know. You share such a special gift with all the children that come into your life. Not just of music but of love, kindness, compassion and beauty as well. The children who have the privilege of attending your classes are so fourtunate. I am so honoured to have you as a friend. You have been there for me to help me potty training advice and suggestions for little miss bossy. Thank you. A child is raised not just by two parents but by all those who are in that child's life and I thank you for being a part of our girls growth and learning. You are amazing.

A. Deptuck

Marnie!!!

We’re Obsessed…with your new CD. We LOVE it! Thanks so much for continuing to share your music with us. Shayna loves the frog in your throat, Jillie loves the monkeys and my favorite....the madonna-esque jump song. We move, and we groove...

Thank you.
Deb, Kev, Shayna and Jillie

Dear Marnie,

You are so special to our family. You were and are Hope and Abigail' s first teacher. The learning and the love you give our girls, and all "your kids," is a precious gift.

Thank You.
xoxoxo Laurie

Marnie,

Kasia said on the way home yesterday out of the blue..."why does Marnie like me"? And I said "because you're happy and cheerful." and she said "I like Marnie...no... I love Marnie and next time I'm going to give her a hug!" and I said " I'm sure she'd really like that!" Have a great day Marnie and thank you for your classes!
